Privacy & cookies

We want planeterra.se to be as simple and privacy-friendly as possible. This page explains what data is processed when you use the website, why it is processed, and which external services are used.

At a glance

  • We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking or personalisation.
  • We do not build visitor profiles and never sell personal data.
  • We use cookie-free statistics in the form of totals to understand how the website is used.
  • On our Swedish articles page, we use Soro to fetch and display articles. When an article is displayed, your browser communicates with Soro’s servers and certain technical information is transferred to Soro.
  • Form data is stored only when you submit a form and is automatically deleted from our admin portal after 2 years, or earlier if you ask us.

Cookies and similar technologies

We do not use cookies, local storage or similar technologies for advertising, tracking or personalisation.

Some external features on the website involve your browser communicating with external services. These include Soro, which displays articles, and Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects forms against spam and abuse.

During our review of Soro’s blog widget, we did not observe the widget setting cookies or using Local Storage or Session Storage in visitors’ browsers. If this changes, we will update this page and take further action where needed.

Articles via Soro

On the website’s Swedish articles page, we use the blogging platform Soro, provided by Digimeri OÜ in Estonia.

Articles are fetched from Soro and displayed on planeterra.se using JavaScript. When you open the Swedish articles page, your browser therefore communicates directly with Soro’s servers to fetch the article content.

In doing so, Soro may receive technical information normally included in an internet request. This may include your IP address and information about your browser, device and language. The data sent depends on your browser and the particular request.

The purpose of this communication is to fetch and display article content on the website.

During our review of Soro’s blog widget, we did not observe the widget setting cookies or using Local Storage or Session Storage in visitors’ browsers.

Soro is based in the EU. According to Soro’s privacy policy, Soro also uses certain providers outside the EU/EEA. Soro states that transfers of personal data outside the EU/EEA are protected by applicable safeguards under data protection law.

For more information about how Soro processes personal data, see Soro’s privacy policy.

Spam protection – Cloudflare Turnstile

To protect forms against spam, automated requests and abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile. The service helps determine whether a form is being used by a person or an automated system, and helps us protect our forms without traditional tracking cookies.

Who can access the data?

We never sell personal data or disclose it to third parties for their own marketing.

We use external service providers to operate certain website features. These include Soro for article content and Cloudflare Turnstile for protection against spam and abuse. These services may process technical information when their features are used.
